A Guide to Maximizing Your Ecobee SmartThermostat

Modern innovations have made it possible to take control of your indoor temperatures with a highly-efficient smart regulator. The ecobee SmartThermostat, for instance, has a variety of features that can ensure optimal comfort in any household. In this post, ductless installation experts from Econoair Heating & Cooling Inc. share more of what an ecobee SmartThermostat can offer you.

Utilizing virtual assistants. Like most applications, you can select a virtual assistant of choice, whether it’s Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa or Echo Dot or Google Home to connect to your ecobee SmartThermostat. This way, you can manage your indoor climate just by using voice commands.

Full customization. It should be noted that your ecobee includes threshold settings that allow you to fully customize how your thermostat uses your HVAC system. While we recommend letting your ecobee manage these settings automatically for maximum energy efficiency, if you own a heat pump or two-stage furnace, you can opt to adjust the settings yourself to further save on energy consumption.

Creating your comfort schedule. Our ecobee can easily be pre-programmed to specific thermostat settings. With the application or Web portal available, you can easily get a quick overview of your daily and weekly schedule and tweak it for maximum comfort. This is definitely useful for those with the same daily routines. This makes ecobee the perfect accompaniment to a new air conditioner installation.

Maintenance notifications. With your ecobee SmartThermostat, you’ll receive alerts when serious issues appear such as low temperatures. It’s also equipped to immediately send you notifications through the application when it’s time to schedule preventive maintenance.

Econoair Heating & Cooling Inc. can help you with your upcoming air conditioner, ductless AC or boiler installation or repair. We also provide a variety of other services including ductwork modifications and oil- or electric-to-gas heating system conversions.
